I've been busy working on a new song during lockdown, you can take a listen on my Soundcloud below, but more excitingly, I'd like you to be in the video!! Sticking with the lockdown theme I'm going to make the video look like a Zoom meeting, so listen to the song, then imagine yourself in a Zoom meeting in work where someone has started playing this song, video your reaction as if in the meeting, and get it to me! Drop me a line for more details.
Thanks to all who joined the live stream last Saturday, it was loads of fun and the whole thing is available to watch now on my YouTube channel, don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already!
I've also added a recording of The Divine Comedy's Songs of Love.
I'll be doing another livestream gig from the Bran Cave this weekend, Saturday May 30th at 8.30pm.
This time I'll be keeping it to about an hour and will be adding a few more of my own songs. They will all be fairly chilled out love songs as I think we could all "try a little tenderness" right now, haha. Incidentally I will not be doing Try A Little Tenderness.
Here's the link - live from 2030 this Saturday on Youtube
Whilst I was able to play my gig at the market last Saturday (March 14th) I’m sorry to say that the forthcoming Perpetrators gig this Saturday at Cornerhouse has been cancelled and at this stage the Echochamber gig on April 4th at Cornerhouse would seem unlikely to happen. Prior to the recent announcements the Chester Indoor Market had also booked me to play on April 10th and April 25th but I’ll have to keep you posted. This will be a very difficult time for musicians and venues, please continue to support venues wherever possible, and keep listening to music! I’ll try and get some more recording done and get some videos up on Youtube, I’ll post here whenever I do.
The gig at Chester Indoor Market in December went really well, so well in fact that they had me back on January 17th, and they still haven’t had enough! Here are all my forthcoming gigs:
February 7th – Chester Indoor Market
February 22nd – Chester Indoor Market
February 27th – Cornerhouse
March 14th – Chester Indoor Market
I’ll be playing Chester’s indoor market on December 27th. If you haven’t visited the indoor market on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night yet, it’s time you did. The food, drink and atmosphere are all incredible, and now with the addition of live music it’s one of Chester’s top places to visit!
Unfortunately I won’t now be playing the Liverpool Arms on November 3rd, hope to be back there in December, keep checking back for dates.
I’ll be back at Chester’s Cornerhouse on Thursday October 17th from 9-11pm, at the Liverpool Arms, Chester on November 3rd from 4-6pm. On November 16th I’m doing a fundraiser for the Scouts at St. Columba’s Church, Upton (doors 7.30) and on November 23rd I’m doing another fundraiser for a defibrillator for Mynydd Isa Community Centre. Yes, I do A LOT OF WORK FOR CHARITY APPARENTLY!!
